My parents gave my sister a film camera when I was about 7 years old, and that’s all it took.
Bobby Kerr grew up in Jefferson, Georgia, always with his camera. He took pictures at airports while traveling, capturing signs, planes, and vending machines. He also took photos in his own backyard, photographing his dogs and the lakeshore. Like many boys, Bobby enjoyed things that were fast, whether it was bicycles, motorcycles, cars, or airplanes. For Bobby, this love for speed never faded. Guided by his father, Bobby soloed a plane by himself on his 16th birthday and got his pilot's license when he turned 18. When he wasn't flying planes, Bobby focused on cars. Friends would have their 70s and 80s project cars, and Bobby brought the camera and went to work.
Family Connections made things happen.
Bobby's mother, a successful real estate agent, inspired him to study real estate photography. Bobby mastered the art of showcasing properties with stunning visuals, revealing their unique stories. He became an asset to his mother's business and helped clients find their dream homes.
When Bobby thinks of passion, Photography is not the only thing that comes to mind.
Outside of Photography, Bobby is a passionate private pilot and is training to become a commercial airline pilot. He also competes in STOL (short takeoff and landing) competitions in his family’s Maule MXT-7. Speaking of competition, Bobby is a competitive waterskier. He learned how to waterski at 3 years old, and has been competing for over a decade.
Bobby is engaged to his high school sweetheart, Sophie, whom he met on a school exchange to Scotland during high school. They are happily together alongside their Australian Shepherd mix, Draco.
